Board Chairperson – Professor Leonard A. Kamwanja
Professor Leonard A. Kamwanja earned a PhD in Endocrinology-Reproductive Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. He is a former Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Malawi; Fulbright Scholar and Visiting Professor at the Dairy and Poultry Science Department, University of Florida-Gainesville; Visiting Scientist in the Department of Biotechnology of the Institut fur Tierzucht Und Tierverhalten (FAL) Mariensee, Germany.
Currently he is Vice Chancellor of the Lake Malawi Anglican University and Executive Director of the Trustees of Agricultural Promotion Programme.
Board Vice Chairperson – Mrs Thandiwe Thipa
Micro Finance Committee Chairperson
Thandiwe Thipa is a successful and talented development and entrepreneurship practitioner with 20 years experience in financial services.
Thandiwe Thipa pioneered FINCA Malawi, worked for Vision Fund and now working for Microloan Foundation. In all these organizations, she has worked in the Operations Department from Middle to Senior Management Level. Thandiwe Thipa has a Master’s in Business Administration from Management College of Southern Africa.

WASH Programs Chair – Mr. Wellington Limbe
Mr. Wellington Limbe is a holder of master in public health from Dundee University in Scotland, Post graduate certificate in Drugs and Alcohol prevention from John Hopkins University, Baltimore in USA, Bachelor’s Degree in Leeds Universit. In addition, he holds Diploma in Mental Health from Perth College of nursing in Scotland and Certificate in clinical medicine from Malawi college of Health Sciences.
Mr. Wellington Limbe has worked as Executive director for MACRO, National Primary Health Coordinator at Ministry of Health for Primary, National Mental Coordinator, Mental health Nurse and Clinical officer.
Currently he is working as Lecture of Public Health at Skyway University He has the vast experience in primary health care and WASH programs.
Agriculture Committee Chairperson – Mr. Wiscot Chirwa
He is an Agricultural Development Youth Related Strategies Developer, who has spent over 16 years in Agricultural Financing, Crop Production-Tobacco, Maize Seed, Legumes and Horticulture, Training youth farmers on Good Agricultural Practices and Youth Financial Literacy Education (Transformation)to the youth, Crop Produce Market linkage, Farmer Bank Credit assessments/ appraisals, Warehouse Receipt Systems, VSL, Livelihoods Projects Implementation, Rural Financial services trainer and Women Economic Empowerment Strategies.
He is a Fast learner, Perfect decision maker, Analyzer, Negotiator, Team work player, hard worker, Cooperative and Result oriented field work vast experienced man who has spent much of his time (80%) in the field facilitating and coordinating rural communities’ development programs.
He is very interested in pursuing his career in Rural Financial Services, Agricultural Development Entrepreneurship targeting smallholder farmers, Agriculture Loan Utilization, Women economic empowerment activities and Good Agricultural Labor Practices to eliminate Child Labor in Commercial farming and Agriculture activities
Finance and Administration Chairperson – Mrs Bernadetta Chirwa
Mrs. Bernadetta Chirwa is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) with eight years’ experience in financial management and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM).
She has vast experience in managing donor funding, budgeting and reporting as per the donor’s requirements. She has worked in micro finance with Microloan Foundation and now working with Trustees of Agricultural Promotion programme.
She provides financial accounting advisory support to foundation for community Development programs
Executive Director – Mr. Thyphord Chirwa
Mr. Thyphord Chirwa is a strategist with over 15 Years of experience in Community Development Programs especially in Financial, Agriculture, health and Youth and Women empowerment. He has worked with different organization both Local and International. Mr. Chirwa is also an expert in Microfinance where he has been involved in Operational Management, Portfolio Management, SME lending, group lending and Agriculture lending.
Mr. Thyphord Chirwa is instrumental in providing overall leadership and strategic direction for the growth of the organization. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Community Development
